Any person who wants to get his query answered can file a complaint or give a suggestion for improvement by calling the toll-free numbers 1947 or 1800 300 1947 which operates 24×7 all 365 days of the year. These numbers are operated by UIDAI. Apart from these numbers, there are grievance redressal units in most of the regional offices of the organisation.

Aadhaar is one of the most widely used government approved identification cards that contains both demographic and biometric details of the card holder. The government is linking a number of schemes and other legal instruments with Aadhaar to prove the authenticity of linked documents. UIDAI has set up an active grievance redressal mechanism. There are a number of channels through which people can file complaints and get them addressed. Some of these are mentioned below:

Through Toll-free Number – People can call 1947 and get their grievances addressed through phone. Alternatively, they can place a call to regional centres and get their issues resolved.
By Post – People can send their issues addressed through post. They can send a letter to any of the Regional Centres or UIDAI headquarters.
By E–mail – People can also share their grievances by e-mailing their complaints to help@uidai.gov.in
Filing Complaints Online through the Resident Portal
An applicant can file complaints online. The applicant can fill the form at https://goo.gl/ac84EU and submit his complaints online to get it addressed in least possible time. The applicant has to fill details such as – Enrolment ID, personal details, location and complaint details and submit the form. An update on your request will be provided to you through e-mail or mobile number. Complaints through this mechanism can be filed against:
